Downings' Out of the Saddle evening returns for 2011

Brothers Russell and Dean Downing are set to host the third running of their 'Out of the Saddle' chairty fundraising evening on Saturday, October 22.
The last two events have attracted a long list of cycling stars past and present, including Lizzie Armitstead, Adam Blythe, Kristian House, John Herety and Chris Walker.

The evening will feature an auction compered by Eurosport commentator David Harmon, interviews with star guests, a buffet and disco.
Charity CRY UK will benefit from money raised on the evening. CRY UK helps to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to cardiac arrest in young people.
The event will take place at the Charnwood Hotel, near Rotherham. For further information and ticket details go to the event's official website.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
