It's showtime
It's bike show season again. Not only is the London Bike Show (www.thelondonbikeshow.co.uk) about to open its doors on Thursday (Jan 17-20), but northern bike fans will have their very own cycle expo next month. The inaugural Bike and Triathlon Show, hosted at Manchester Central, will take place on February 16 and 17.
The list of confirmed exhibitors already includes Trek, Cervélo, BH Bikes, Velocite and Forme, but there will also be a whole host of other attractions, including a central stage supported by British Cycling, which will feature a number of cycling celebrities, shows and seminars.
There will also be a Kids Zone and Shoretrax mtb track with a demo fleet of the latest Giant and Trek mountain bikes.
And just to put the cherry on the cake, the show's organisers have announced that the Sunday morning (Feb 17) will feature a 46-mile or 75-mile sportive, starting and finishing at Manchester Central.
Registration to the sportive will also include a ticket to the main show with secure bike storage provided on site.
General admission tickets are priced at £12 with U16s entering the show free. Entry to the sportive is £30.

The State Titanium All-Road is an admirable but flawed attempt to build a titanium gravel bike for the masses
A titanium frame at budget pricing is a great step, but does a premium frame material matter if the bike's componentry holds it back?
