Cavendish and Kwiatkowski to race Tour de San Luis
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step announce both Mark Cavendish and Michal Kwiatkowski will be starting their 2015 season at the Tour de San Luis
Mark Cavendish and Michal Kwiatkowski will both start their 2015 season at the Tour de San Luis.
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step announced the riders will be kicking of their seasons at the race on January 19.
"For me, it's important because I won my first race there with Omega Pharma - Quick-Step in 2013," Cavendish said.
Kwiatkowski previously rode the 2013 Tour de San Luis where he held the leader's jersey and finished third in the time trial.
"In 2013 I didn't expect to be at that level so quickly. So of course I have good memories of this race. I was impressed by the public at the team presentation before the race," UCI World Road Champion Kwiatkowski said.
For World Champion Kwiatkowski, the race will mark his first opportunity to race in the rainbow jersey.
"Racing there was really nice and it will be a good way to build my condition for the 2015 season. It's a race you want to go to because the weather is good, the organisation is good, and it really gives you good competition to prepare you for the whole year," he added.
