Clancy and Tennant among big names set for Good Friday Meeting
Ed Clancy and Andy Tennant return to the Lee Valley VeloPark on April 3 for the Good Friday Meeting, joined by track talent from around Europe
Olympic and world champions Ed Clancy, Morgan Kneisky and Andy Tennant headline the list of elite riders who will appear at the Good Friday Meeting at the Lee Valley VeloPark.
The event on April 3, which has been running for over 100 years, is in its second year at the Olympic Velodrome, having moved from the Herne Hill Velodrome in 2014.
Current world madison champion Kneisky will grace the track that he hopes to retain his title on in 2016, while young British sprinter Lewis Oliva will also feature in the elite races.
Clancy, who is an ambassador for the Good Friday Meeting, said: “I’m really looking forward to this year’s Good Friday Meeting. The start list is really competitive, with some great riders, so the track action promises to be as good as ever.
“Riding at the Lee Valley Velodrome is always fun, so it will be great to get back on the track.”
The meeting is a chance to see a host of top quality racing, from the elite riders down to the club-level amateurs. Tickets start at £11.25 for the day of action and can be bought from the event's website.
