Downing wins in Majorca
Russell Downing outsprinted a forty-strong bunch to win the 128km third stage of the Cinturon Tour in Majorca.
The CandiTV-Pinarello man crossed the line in María de la Salut ahead of German Eric Baumman, with Team GB?s Ian Wilkinson taking third.
Downing won two stages of the 2008 edition of the race and goes into Sunday?s final stage 31 seconds adrift of leader Enrique Salgueiro (Extremadurada-Spuik). Team GB?s Andy Tennant is lying fourth at 15 seconds.
