Geraint Thomas nominated for 2015 Welsh Sports Personality of the Year
Team Sky rider up for BBC award again after winning the 2014 edition
Geraint Thomas has been nominated for Welsh Sports Personality of the Year 2015 for his exploits on the road this year.
The Team Sky rider took the award last year, the only cyclist to do so in its history, and faces competition from a strong list of eight nominees, including footballer Gareth Bale and taekwondo fighter Jade Jones.

Cardiff born Thomas has enjoyed one his most successful years on the road to date, taking victory in the Volta ao Algarve stage race, the one-day Classic E3 Harelbeke as well as impressing in his support role to Chris Froome at the Tour de France.
As usual, the winner will be decided by public vote and revealed at the Wales Sports Awards in Cardiff on December 7. Voting opens on Monday, November 30 at 8am.
Last year, Thomas received his award from former BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner and then teammate Bradley Wiggins, with Team Sky on a training camp in Mallorca at the time.
