LONDON NATIONAL YOUTH SERIES PLUS SENIORS RACE AT FOWLMEAD COUNTRY PARK IN KENT
BRITAIN?S biggest purpose-built closed road racing circuit at Betteshanger in Kent ? Fowlmead Country Park which opened this year ? plays host to the British Cycling London National Youth Circuit Series as well as South East Road Race League senior event on Saturday, September 15 ? not the 16th as previously scheduled.
The full circuit is a challenging 3.2 kilometres long, but shorter loops may be used for the Youth D and E races.
The site includes changing accommodation, showers, toilets and a visitors centre and refreshments. Camping is also available nearby.
Racing starts at 10am with the 10-kilometre Youth D category race, followed one minute later by the Youth E group covering seven kilometres.
Youth C start at 10.30 (13 kilometres), Youth B at 11.00 (25 kilometres), Youth A girls at 11.50 (25 kilometres), Youth B girls 11.52 (20 kilometres) and Youth A at 13.00 (38 kilometres).
This is followed by the South East Road Race League 50-kilometre handicap for all categories.
Event organiser is Michael Humphreys, jointly assisted by Lee Valley Youth CC and VC Deal, the local club at Fowlmead.
