The mysterious rider known only as 'JP' has unseated yet more professional cyclists' times on ride logging website Strava - this time on the iconic ascent of Sa Calobra on the Spanish island of Majorca, used as a training climb by many pro teams.
JP shot to fame last year by setting a quick time up the Surrey climb of Box Hill, a record which has survived several professional races since. Several attempts to identify the obviously talented rider have proved fruitless - with some even speculating that it is Lance Armstrong, fuelled by the fact that JP uses an image of Armstrong on his Strava account and that Juan Pelota (JP) has been a pseudonym used by Armstrong.
