PLACES STILL OPEN FOR OTLEY CIRCUIT RACE
With two weeks to go to this year?s Otley Cycle Races, the event's organisers have announced that entries are still open to Elite, first and second category riders for the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series race on Thursday June 26.
Strong entries have been received from Sportscover JE James, Pinarello RT, Rapha Condor Recycling, Plowman Craven and Pearl Izumi and these will be joined by British international professionals Bradley Wiggins and Jeremy Hunt as well as plenty of experienced local riders.
However, race organisers are keen to see a full 100 signatures on the start sheet and have appealed for more riders to take up the challenge.
?The Otley Crit has a reputation for being a tough test but it?s also well established on the race calendar, draws crowds of over 4,000 knowledgeable cycling fans and offers over £1,500 in total prize money," said Graeme Collin of Otley Cycle Races. "We?ve got a full house for the third and fourth cat race, but we?d love to see more riders for the Elite Series."
?If you?re entered for the road race nationals that weekend, then Otley Cycle Races on the Thursday are the perfect warm-up!?, he added.
Race entries for the Elite Circuit Series, open to Elite, first and second category riders. Entry costs £18 in advance and £22 on the line. Further race details can be found on www.britishcycling.org.uk.
