ROOM FOR RIDERS IN BEAUMONT TROPHY
There is still time to get your entry in for the Premier Calendar Beaumont Trophy on Sunday June 15.
The 106-mile road race in Northumberland features a prize list of over £6,000, including £1,000 to the winner, thanks to sponsors Northern Rock, in what organiser Peter Harrison says is ?the biggest prize list in the UK for elite riders.?
With a rider limit of 140 and entries currently standing at 96, Harrison is extending the closing date to the end of this week. ?Entries have been very slow coming in,? he said.
?Newton and House will be racing abroad, but Rapha will have Dean Downing and Tom Diggle in their squad. It looks like it will be the Big Three teams ? Rapha, Plowmans and Pinarello ? but there is also Southam and Hayles from Halfords, and Kit Gilham from Kinesis.?
The Beaumont is open to elite, 1st and 2nd category riders and can be entered online at www.northernrockcyclone.co.uk
