Silence-Lotto: Team Profile
Silence-Lotto
UCI ProTour team
This outfit give the impression of the nearly men of the peloton. Cadel Evans ? second at the Tour de France, Flèche Wallonne and Dauphiné Libéré in 2008 ? looks like a man in need of more support in the Tour. It is doubtful whether he will get it, and his ?steady Eddy? approach to the race make the chances of him topping the podium in Paris unlikely.
Leif Hoste puts everything into the Spring Classics but still misses the big prize: three runners-up positions in the Tour of Flanders at the latest count.
Philippe Gilbert joins the Lotto line-up to give them added firepower in the Classics. Being a Belgian team, a strong showing in April is paramount. If they can hold something in reserve for July then Evans might just might make that top spot.
