Surrey bike shop burgled, four road bikes stolen
Surrey bike shop Petra Cycles has four road bikes stolen on Sunday night
Petra Cycles in Oxted, Surrey, suffered a break-in on Sunday (February 22) with a number of bikes, components and cash stolen along with damage to other items on the premises.
Thieves are thought to have entered the shop at around 8pm on Sunday night, removing Wilier Izoard, Giant TCR Advanced, Bianchi Intenso and Bianchi Infinito road bikes.
The shop was featured in last week's Cycling Weekly magazine (February 19) as they are a sponsor of Oxted Cycling Club, which we included in a ride article.
Details of the stolen bikes:
- Wilier Izoard, carbon frame, Campagnolo Athena groupset, Fizik Arione
saddle, Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels, 11 speed - Giant TCR Advanced, carbon frame, Shimano Ultegra groupset, Mavic
Ksyrum Elite wheels, 10 speed - Bianchi Intenso, C2C carbon frame, Shimano 105 groupset, 11 speed
- Bianchi Infinito C2C, carbon frame, Campagnolo Athena groupset
Tandridge Police are appealing for witnesses for information relating to the incident, including the possible whereabouts of the stolen bikes. Contact them anonymously by telephoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quoting reference 45150015013.

His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success.
