Team Kinesis UK: Team Profile
Team Kinesis UK
Manager Chris Truett does a great job on a limited budget with his young squad. Kinesis win plenty of plaudits from fellow pros for their style of racing and rightly so. Losing most of his talented squad to bigger teams this season means building from scratch for Truett, but he is used to it.
Highlights of 2008 included Kit Gilham FBD wearing the pink climbers jersey at the Insurance Ras in Ireland and Tom Last finishing second in the under-23 category at the Tour of Serbia.
A Premier Calendar victory would have been just desserts for the team, but Last learned a lesson he will not forget in a hurry, raising his arms in a victory salute in the Chas Messenger, only for Russell Downing to sneak through and steal the stage from under his nose.
The squad expands to eight men this year with the addition of Canadians Alex Bhogal and Vincent Veilleux. Truett has again received invites for the FBD Insurance Ras in Ireland and Tour of Serbia.
