The best bike lights are there to guide you through the dark and cold nights of autumn and winter safely. Bicycle lights also act as an essential daylight-hours safety feature, with many now featuring daytime running modes.

We test a huge number of lights here at Cycling Weekly every year. This winter alone our team will put well over twenty-five of the latest lights through their paces, testing much more than just how bright each light is. Our main considerations include build quality, battery life and by far the most important factor how the light beam is projected out on the road or trail.

You can trust Cycling Weekly. Our team of experts put in hard miles testing cycling tech and will always share honest, unbiased advice to help you choose. Find out more about how we test.
