VICTORIA PENDLETON IN THIS WEEK'S CYCLING WEEKLY
Victoria Pendleton, Britain's undisputed Queen of the Track, is interviewed in this week's Cycling Weekly magazine, out on Thursday.
Pendleton is currently training hard for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where she is part of Great Britain's track squad. She has also caught the attention pf mainstream media as cycling's 'pin-up girl', and as such has to balance her intense training sessions with photo-shoots, interviews and the like.
"There are always more things to do than I have time for and lots of things I would like to do, but my job is riding a bike, not posing around in front of cameras or doing interviews," Pendleton told Cycling Weekly.
"I like having my picture taken and my hair and make-up done ? I don?t know any girls that wouldn?t ? but you have to put it in perspective and realise that the most important thing is winning medals."
