WANTED, OLD COPIES OF CYCLING WEEKLY AND ICS
ANYONE kept all their back issues of Cycling Weekly and the former monthly, International Cycle Sport?
If you have, will you be willing to loan your treasured copies to British Cycling?s Jim Hendry?
Jim hopes so, for the sake of the historical record. Jim is charged with compiling a definitive archive of major cycling achievements by Britons across the ages.
He is seeking to loan copies of Cycling Weekly up to and including 1988, and copies of the now defunct International Cycle Sport between March 1983 and September 1978.
?I?ve become a right anorak since beginning this,? says Jim. ?It?s quite fascinating looking back.?
He?s got all he needs on British riders exploits in the Classics and the Peace Race, for instance.
Contact Jim on 01536 483695 or email him at: jimhendry@britishcycling.org.uk
