Bradley Wiggins makes light of package controversy with cryptic 'Braveheart' Instagram post
Contents of Team Sky's mystery medical package could be revealed to MPs today
Ahead of Dave Brailsford's appearance in front of a panel of MPs on Monday, Bradley Wiggins has taken to Instagram with a cryptic and rather bizarre "Merry Christmas" post.
>>> Bradley Wiggins 'to be cleared' after investigation into medical package
In the post, Wiggins has been photoshopped in as Mel Gibson from the 1995 film Braveheart, with the caption "They Can Never Take My Package", a reference to the famous quote from the film: " They can never take our freedom".
The package that Wiggins is referring to is the mystery package that was delivered to Team Sky at the 2011 Critérium du Dauphiné, the contents of which are likely to be the subject of scrutiny at the Culture, Media and Sport select committee hearing today.
>>> 'Bradley Wiggins contacted me via Instagram to race for his team'
Wiggins has previously remained silent on the contents of the package, not answering questions on the subject when racing at the Ghent Six Day last month.
Alongside the picture is the caption "Merry Christmas people #dicko #loveya #onelove", so we just hope that this isn't the same Christmas card that the Wiggins's chose to send out to their nearest and dearest.
