Alex Dowsett rides 17km solo to take glory on stage eight of Giro d'Italia 2020

The British TT specialist took his second-career Giro stage and the first ever Grand Tour win for Israel Start-Up Nation

Alex Dowsett showed his class with a 17km solo attack to win stage eight of the Giro d'Italia 2020.

Dowsett made it into the day's six-rider breakaway on an unpredictable stage that featured a lot of climbing, with the peloton giving up on the chase at the mid-way point of the day.
