Team Sky have included three members of their victorious Tour de France squad in their lineup for the Vuelta a España, with Chris Froome joined by Geraint Thomas and Nicolas Roche.
Froome is only the second ever Tour winner to go on to compete at the Vuelta since it moved to the Autumn and will be surrounded by a mix of youth and experience in the three-week race.
Thomas's busy season continues, having ridden 65 days already this year, including the cobbled Classics and a host of week-long races, while Roche has raced alongside Froome all season.
Vasil Kiryienka, Mikel Nieve and Christian Knees add experience to the lineup, and Sergio Henao returns to a Grand Tour for the first time since a serious knee injury threatened his career.
Salvatore Puccio makes his second appearance at the Vuelta, while Ian Boswell, 24, makes his Grand Tour debut after an impressive season in the week-long stage races.
