South Downs Spring Sportive: Cycling Weekly Sportive Series
When: Saturday, May 18 (RESCHEDULED FROM MARCH 23)
Epic (74 miles) - £30
Standard (57 miles) - £30
Short (33 miles) - £20
Nestled into the heart of the South Downs, Plumpton Racecourse is a superb venue with amazing views, facilities and a great atmosphere too!
As an early season sportive the shorter ride length will ease you into the busy season, however, do not be fooled as this ride has a few hills to give your legs an early season test.
The Route starts by heading East on quiet rolling scenic Sussex lanes, which create the perfect warm up. Now heading North you will encounter more undulating terrain, the climbs now start coming closer together.
After the climb up to Waldron, you will be rewarded with the first feed station. From here, the Epic riders head further North, their destination being Castle Hill, a true test of your winter training, before looping back on some picturesque lanes to join up with the Standard route riders.
Isfield is the site for the second Feed Station where all three routes join up to wind their way back South to the Racecourse where you will receive a quality goody bag and a well deserved medal! Post event refreshments and massages will also be waiting.
A fantastic venue with slightly shorter routes to ease you into the up and coming busy sportive season ahead. Including three different routes.
