Star line-up for indoor London Nocturne

IG Sigma Sport, Madison Genesis, Raleigh-GAC, Primal Wear, Team Hope, Wheel Base and Team Kuota will all field teams in the IG London Nocturne Elite Criterium on Saturday, January 19, at the London Bike Show.
Ross Edgar (IG Sigma Sport), Ian Bibby and Dean Downing (Madison-Genesis) and Graham Briggs (Raleigh-GAC) have all signed up for the unique, completely indoor race at London's ExCel centre. A 500-metre track will be purpose built to host the weekend's racing.
Along with the elite races, a Media Race on Thursday (January 17) evening will pit the likes of BBC's Colin Murray, ITV's Ned Boulting, Daybreak presenter Matt Barbet and cycling writer Richard Moore against each other.
"The London Bike Show provides an excellent launch platform for the main IG London Nocturne event," said James Pope of event organiser the Face Partnership.
"We're looking forward to replicating the Nocturne excitement in an indoor venue and giving people a taste of the action that will take place around Smithfield Market on June 8. The indoor circuit will create a different style of racing and will be a massive attraction for the London Bike Show audience."

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
