All your cycling Christmas gifts wrapped up with Tredz
Forget novelty socks, gift something a cyclist truly wants this Christmas with help from the team at Tredz
We think most cyclists are tired of receiving bike-shaped pizza cutters or corkscrews, so we have linked up with online bike experts Tredz to round up some of the best things to give to the cyclist in your life this festive season. No matter what your budget is, there are plenty of options available to you and if you get really stuck then, Tredz has helpful staff ready and waiting to point you in the right direction.
1. Initially, we listed Wera's excellent Advent Calendar. However, advent is in full swing, and Tredz has now sold out of these! So, why not check out the Wera Hex-Plus Christmas Box Set.
A Christmas box set for the cyclist who loves quality tools! These Hex tools from Wera are made from stainless steel, and boast the brand's 'Hex-Plus' profile to offer greater contact surface, reducing the chance of slips and damage to screw heads. The long arm features a hex ballpoint drive profile, and the handy storage case has an L-key fastener to keep the tools neat.

2. Next up, we have the Tredz 8 in 1 cleaning kit. At this time of year when there’s so much grit, grime and debris on the roads keeping your bike clean is vital. So, thanks to the cleaning solution, drivetrain degreaser, selection of brushes, sponge, microfibre cloth and bucket in this kit, this works as a one stop shop for any cyclist needing to give their bike some care and attention.

If you really want to treat the cyclist in your life then you can also opt for the 8 in 1 Muc Off cleaning kit which contains the brand's famous pink bike cleaner, bike protection spray, high quality brushes and of course the bucket itself.

3. Giving someone the tools to clean their bike is a huge gift in itself and goes a long way to ensuring the longevity and healthy operation of their pride and joy. The only other thing to bear in mind is that once said bike has been cleaned, the chain will need re-lubing. So, as a great value option, this Muc-Off wet weather lube is worth considering. If you’re buying for someone who chooses to use a different brand or type of chain lubricant then, it’s likely Tredz sells it. Tredz stock a wide variety of lubes and waxes that cover all riding conditions and we think any cyclist would be happy to get some more.

TREDZ
For those of you who may be unaware who Tredz are, they’re a well established brand here in the UK and you can shop with confidence because they’re backed by Halfords, the UK’s largest cycling retailer. You can rely on them too with their 4.6 Trustpilot score, the largest choice of brands, 365 day returns, price match and their Ride Now, Pay Later payment options. Tredz have also extended an offer of 15% off gear and parts on orders over £100 to all you lovely readers, so give them a go, because you can trust in Tredz.
4. This next gift will really show that you care! A Wahoo Kickr trainer is a big gift to get someone, however, this is one of the best trainers currently available on the market. This is the V6, which is the latest model of the Kickr, of course, you can find all the technical details on the Tredz website and if you have any questions then you can speak to one of their experts via their online chat tool. But all you really need to know is that this will work with any major indoor training platform like Zwift, Rouvy or TrainerRoad, essentially, this is a bit like the Rolls Royce of indoor trainers.

5. Coming back down in the price range and we have the Garmin Varia RCT715. We couldn’t miss putting this radar, light and camera combo on our list. As the nights draw in and weather conditions get worse, a rear light on your bike is essential, but pairing that with a radar system to alert you to approaching road users and also a camera just in case someone does close pass you makes for an all-in-one safe riding package. It is great for this time of year, but just as helpful when summer rolls round and we all spend even more time riding outdoors.

6. When browsing the Tredz website, you’ll find plenty of products that represent incredible value for money, in this case the Garmin Edge 530. This GPS head unit has now been superseded by the Edge 540, but it’s still available in a few different set ups, like the dirt bundle, the head unit only or the performance bundle. We think that the 500 series of computers are perfect for every type of rider and, while the 530 may not boast all of the features on newer, pricier models it’s still a great head unit for riders of any discipline. If you’re unsure which Garmin might be right, then ask any questions you have to the friendly online helpers at Tredz.

7. The Specialized Align helmet has been around for many, many years. It’s been through multiple iterations of designs and development but the price has roughly stayed about the same. We think this helmet works incredibly well for a multitude of different riders, be it commuters, road riders, gravel riders or weekend warriors. The MIPS system and easy to adjust head cage mean it’s not only as safe as helmets costing much more but, you also have a wide range of adjustability. So, if you want to ensure either yourself or whoever you’re buying for is staying safe out on the road, then this could be the purchase you make.

8. Last up on our list are the Endura Humvee II cycling shorts. While not your typical choice for road cyclists we do think, much like the Specialized Align helmet they serve a wider purpose and type of rider. Irrespective of your favoured discipline, the Humvee IIs work as casual off the bike wear but also make for comfortable riding with their padded short liner and seemingly endless amounts of zipped pockets.

We hope we’ve helped you out with our ideas, but we know that buying for cyclists isn’t easy, so if you’re unsure as to what to get, then you can always buy a gift voucher from Tredz.
It saves you from having to work out what to buy and opens up the possibility for the recipient to choose whatever they want thanks to the incredibly wide selection of bikes, parts, accessories and clothing available at Tredz.
