All the pro cycling transfers for 2027

Pro cycling does not really have a transfer window, with teams allowed to announce moves whenever they like for next season, given agreement between the relevant parties. However, August is when announcements start to occur for 2027, out of habit if nothing else, and some moves have already been revealed.

Rather than announcing each transfer individually, we will collect together all the transfers in the men's WorldTour and Women's WorldTour pelotons here, as and when they are officially revealed.

Officially, August 1 is the opening of the first registration period – 1 to 15 August – in which riders can switch teams, with another registration period from October to the end of the year, but in practice, it is the start of announcements for 2026. However, if a rider is to change teams mid-season, that deal needs to be done now.

Big moves

Ben Turner to ride for Soudal Quick-Step

British Classics rider Ben Turner is to ride for Soudal Quick-Step from next year, after five years with Netcompany-Ineos, with whom he turned pro in 2022. The 27-year-old has proved himself a versatile rider while at Ineos, winning sprints like at the Vuelta a España in 2025, also working as a road captain at Grand Tours, and targeting the Classics.

The latter appears to be his aim at his new team, who are evolving back into the Classics team of old.

"We have been following Ben for quite some time now and realised that he is the type of rider that would immediately find his place in our team," Soudal Quick-Step CEO Jurgen Foré said. "Ben has the right mindset and character to join the Wolfpack. He is someone who can perform in the Classics and in stage-races, but also help the squad in a wide range of races, and that’s why we are excited he will race with us through 2029. We still think he has the capacity to improve even more, and we hope he’ll hit new heights in the coming years as part of our squad."

"Obviously, for me it’s a big privilege to join Soudal Quick-Step, a team which I’ve always dreamed of being part of since being small and watching the Classics together with my dad," Turned said. "Even after I turned professional, it was a team I was always looking at to see what they were doing in the races and always keeping an eye on them.

"I like the long-term project of this team and what they want to do. After discussing with Jurgen and the team, I realized quickly that we are on the same page, that’s why I’m super excited to be part of this organization from 2027. I want to develop myself into a better rider here, try to win races, and help the squad get victories. I’m looking forward to being part of this environment and racing for Soudal Quick-Step, it’s something that gives me a massive motivation for next season."

Felix Gall leaves Decathlon CMA CGM for Lidl-Trek

The Austrian Grand Tour rider will leave Decathlon CMA CGM at the end of this season to take up a three-year contract at Lidl-Trek. Gall has emerged over the past two seasons as a true contender for the big tours and most recently finished third at the Vuelta a España. He will take mountain lieutenant Gregor Mühlberger with him.

Cédrine Kerbaol leaves EF Education-Oatly for SD Worx-Protime

The 25-year-old Tour de France Femmes stage winner will leave EF Education-Oatly after two seasons, moving across to Belgian-registered SD Worx-Protime on a two-year contract. She will hope to build on a sixth place overall at this year's TDFF, as well as a Vuelta Femenina stage win.

Pfeiffer Georgi leaves Picnic PostNL for UAE Team L'IMAD

After spending her whole career to date – eight years – at Picnic PostNL, Pfeiffer Georgi has left the Dutch squad to join UAE Team L'IMAD. The 25-year-old has finished on the podium of Paris-Roubaix, as well as winning the British National Championships road race three times.

Shirin van Anrooij moves to Canyon-SRAM, from November

Multi-discipline star Shirin van Anrooij will ride in the colours of Canyon-SRAM from this November, after seven years at Lidl-Trek. The 24-year-old won the Trofeo Alfredo Binda in 2023, and has finished on the podium of a hatful of Classics.

Marco Frigo joins UAE Team Emirates-XRG

Italian climber Marco Frigo is leaving NSN Cycling to join UAE Team Emirates-XRG on a two-year deal. The Italian turned pro with the squad in 2023, and has been on the podium of Grand Tour stages four times.

Letizia Paternoster part of Human Powered Health for 2027

Italian Classics rider Letizia Paternoster will ride for Human Powered Health next year after four years with Liv AlUla Jayco. The 27-year-old is part of an influx of talent at the American squad, with Marta Lach joining from SD Worx-Protime and former world champion Amalie Dideriksen heading across from Cofidis.

Arnaud De Lie heads to Tudor Pro Cycling

Belgian puncheur Arnaud De Lie will leave the WorldTour in 2027 after he joined ProTeam Tudor Pro Cycling. After six seasons with Lotto Intermarché, he clearly feels he is in need of a change. His current team posted a long farewell message to the Belgian, who has won 35 races in his career.

AJ August leaves Netcompany-Ineos for Pinarello Q36.5

Andrew 'AJ' August will ride for Pinarello Q36.5 next year, fress off the back of winning the Czech Tour. More on that here.

Fabio Jakobsen joins Visma-Lease a Bike

Tour de France stage winner Fabio Jakobsen has joined Visma-Lease a Bike, effective immediately, on a deal that runs until the end of 2027.

The Dutchman spent the last two and a half years riding for Picnic PostNL, winning once in that time.

Santiago Buitrago signs for NSN Cycling

Still only 26, two-time Giro d'Italia stage winner Santiago Buitrago will ride for NSN Cycling next season, departing Bahrain-Victorious, where he has spent his whole career to date.

Pavel Bittner departs Picnic PostNL for Pinarello Q36.5

In a tough season for Picnic PostNL, Pavel Bittner has been a small bright spark, with six top-six finishes, including second at Scheldeprijs. It is another blow, then, that he will be joining ProTeam Pinarello Q36.5 on a two-year contract from next year.

Mikel Landa returns to Euskaltel-Euskadi

Basque climber Mikel Landa will rejoin the team where he began his professional career, Euskaltel-Euskadi, from 2027. The 36-year-old, a two-time podium finisher at the Giro d'Italia, will leave Soudal Quick-Step after three years with the Belgian squad.

Mauro Schmid joins Pinarello Q36.5

Tour de France stage winner Mauro Schmid will ride for Pinarello Q36.5 instead of Jayco AlUla next season, linking up again with team boss Doug Ryder.
