The zips are glove-friendly and caused no problems, even on the one big zipped pocket at the back. The only thing stopping this from scoring a perfect 10 is that it is missing a pocket over the chest, but it does have a little smartphone-sized pouch on the inside. For all-round protection in wet winter conditions the Vapour offers unbeatable value. It must be time for another ride...

Spring might be a few months off but there’s already a blossoming romance in the CW office. We have quite simply fallen in love with this jacket.
It might not feel like you get much for £120, but don’t let that fool you; this jacket can be used all year round.
Match it with the right layers underneath and it will suit temperatures from a couple of degrees above freezing, to around 15°C.
With a slight stretch in the material, it is actually one of the best-fitting pieces of clothing we’ve worn, and that’s not coming from someone with an ultra-skinny cyclist body shape.
Its claim to be fully waterproof seemed to stand up to testing too, although, as with most waterproofs, it won’t shift all the sweat from the inside out.
