With large mesh side panels on the sides of the trunk and on the underarms of the Mistral Shield, there is never any danger of overheating in this jacket and at the lower end of the price range it is one of the least clammy feeling when going hard.
There is a trade-off in weather protection in more serious showers.
A quality coating means that the water beads very well too - this is one of the better jackets in heavy rain despite appearances.
