Lusso Windtex Aero+ jacket review
The Lusso Windtex Aero+ jacket is an exceptionally warm jacket for the price, with little details that make all the difference
The Lusso Windtex Aero+ jacket is an exceptionally warm jacket that is perfect for deep winter conditions. The little details add to the warmth, although breathability is an issue when the temperature rises a little.

Lusso has been making cycling clothing in the UK for over 30 years. Its offerings are usually modestly priced, but the Lusso Windtex Aero+ jacket is more expensive, costing £135. It does come with a 'Made in the UK' tag though, and some people will be happy to pay a little extra for that.
This jacket excelled at low temperatures, and was used on days when winter really kicked in. For the price, you’ll do well to find a warmer jacket. Combined with a good base layer, it’s all you need for a full British winter of riding. With the ‘Made in the UK’ tag, you would expect good quality and the Aero+ did not disappoint in that regard.
The finishing was very nice, and some well thought-out touches increased both its practicality and appeal. The subtle hi-vis was very effective, and a nice change from basic, reflective panels plastered all over clothing. The cuffs were comfortable, and the neck was thick and warm. Those comfy cuffs were a tad short for my arms — which I’d like to think aren’t abnormally long — so an extra inch wouldn’t go amiss.
As the temperature crept higher, towards high single digits, the Aero+ wasn’t the best at exhausting the hot air inside. This isn’t one for those early winter days, but for a freezing cold winter’s day, the Lusso is a great choice.
