Even if you are not a fan of pretending to be a national champion, you cannot deny that the Rapha Team Sky France Jersey looks good. As you'd expect the jersey displays the famous French tricolour, however on closer inspection you'll notice that the lower half of the tricolour is subtly covered in the names of iconic French races, climbs and landmarks.

My initial concern was that although the thick material meant the jersey would be robust, and therefore unlikely to snag, it might be too hot for warm summer rides. However, having worn the jersey on several sweltering rides of two hours plus I can confirm that the full zip and the side panels provide sufficient ventilation.

I tested the small sized jersey. I found it to be a good fit, tight without being restrictive. I also found the length and circumference of the arms to match the fit of the body, which unfortunately does not always happen with jerseys.
The attention to detail for the rear pockets is really impressive. In addition to three standard rear pockets, the middle pocket has a loop for your pump, and on the right there is a zipped pocket for valuables and a water resistant pocket for a phone.
All in all this is a top quality jersey at a good price point.
