Our expectations weren’t too high for these relatively low-budget tyres, but after our sister magazine CW raved over Rubena’s heavier, all-purpose Syrinx tyre we wanted to test their more race-focused offering. The Phoenix was impressively grippy giving us great confidence to nail it through corners on fast rides.
