Watch: Behind-the-scenes video shows just how much work went into Simon Yates' Giro d'Italia stage win
Mitchelton-Scott's behind-the-scenes series from the Giro continues
Few might have expected it a couple of weeks ago, but the opening week of the 2018 Giro d'Italia has belonged to Mitchelton-Scott which - among other things - has meant some pretty interesting behind-the-scenes videos to watch on the team's YouTube channel.
A few days ago the team's video gave a unique look inside the team after Esteban Chaves had led home Simon Yates for a Mitchelton-Scott one-two atop Mount Etna with Yates moving into the pink jersey.
And that latest video gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the team's latest success on Sunday, as Simon Yates won atop Gran Sasso d'Italia to tighten his grip on the pink jersey, while Esteban Chaves' third place on the day meant he moved up to second overall.

Included in the video are interviews with both Yates and Chaves shortly after they had crossed the line, but these sorts of videos are as much about getting to know the team staff and the unsung domestique heroes as it is getting up close and personal with the team's big names.
That means that we hear all about sports director Matt White's early morning runs and taste for M&Ms, pringles, and nuts while driving the team car behind the race, and also hear from the likes of Svein Tuft, Sam Bewley, Jack Haig, and Mikel Nieve on the various jobs that they have to do during the stage to deliver Yates and Chaves to success.
There are also plenty of little bits of the race that you don't get to see on TV, such as the riders having to crowd into a cable car to get down the mountain after the stage, and Esteban Chaves' dodgy dance moves as he celebrates the result and surely looks forward to the rest day.
